The Gore hypocrisy and the global warming scam could not be highlighted more than by the purchase of their new home. This is now their 4th luxury home. This one has an ocean view. With the imminent threat of sea levels rising, you would think this is a bad investment.

Why is this not on every news outlet around the country pointing out the obvious?
The recent volcano eruptions have spewed more CO2 containing gases into the air than all of civilization could produce in years.

All of those luxury homes and all of those millions of dollars Gore has earned through this international scam, could not save his 40 year marriage to Tipper. I think Tipper got out with the loot, while the "getting" is good.
ReplyDeleteForever the high road here at Bile Central. Which crypto-fascist paragons of the right are off limits to similar treatment?
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I comment: Doctor, heal thyself.
none are ever off limits as the left repeatedly shows the double standards of blasting anything on the right and rarely critisizing their own.
ReplyDeleteThe good doctor is just pointing out one of the most obvious.
It is kind of like Mr. Baylor blasting free markets all while raking in the money from his personal business interests. Hypocrisy in the left's middle name and Mr. Baylor displays it well.
Doctor,
ReplyDeleteAs an avid outdoorsman yourself, have you not noticed the changing patterns in migrations, spawnings, and something we both can relate to, the system of emergence in insect hatching on trout streams?
Something has changed to throw systems out of wack that have been steady for decades. I have traded in my Browning for a nikon now, but in nearly 30 years of waterfowl hunting I had never seen or much heard of anyone seeing or bagging a Scoter, but for the last 3 years I have photographed them all winter long on the Ohio River. Hardly any blue winged teal and ruddy ducks showed up at Muscatutuck over the winter, for decades hundreds upon hundreds of them over wintered there. I would like to also point out the annual gathering of sandhil cranes in Ewings Bottoms, Indiana, where normally both in November and March, thousands upon thousands gather in the white river flood plain... this year it was along the order of hundreds, not thousands.
Thus far in 2010 I have only spotted 3 hummingbirds, previous years I would have a dozen or more making regular stops to my feeders, and would have photographed even more at wildflowers. Clear-winged Sphinx moths are another ususal, dependable sign of mid spring, and not a one thus far.
Amphibians had their "migrations" and spawning much earlier this year, followed by a drastic cold snap with destroyed many clutches of eggs of all kinds of frogs and salamanders, and the quantity of raptors in this area has been cut nearly in half this year. (I have only spotted one pair of american kestrel, and no falcons thus far) and they should should be as thick as molasses right now.
In the last two years we have shattered weather records for winds, rain, cold and heat, to much more extremes than we have seen in a hundred years or more.
Something is happening, and the natural order of things around here changing in a manner that can not be explained by political doctrine.
You as an outdoorsman have had to notice this yourself. Perhaps "global warming" is not the proper term, perhaps mankinds role in the events are either greater than, or less than we can comprehend.
But human arrogance, and the need to politicize everything, because a registered democrat said this, or a conservative talk shows un-experienced opinion, will not allow us as the one species on the planet capable of making a profound difference from doing so, because the actions we MUST take may alienate us from our political affiliations...
It is shameful and troubling that those of us who respect nature, feel the need to first politically marginalize this troubling trend.
Next time you find yourself wastedeep in a trout stream, fishing a Baetis pattern and the water is a bit warmer than normal, and the hatches are all out of skew, disconnect your political brain and stop and give a thought to what may be causing this...
Respectfully,
Christopher
Christopher D.,
ReplyDeleteI bet you own a home. I bet when that home was built that many natural animals, such as some snakes, lizards, rodents, insects and even cock roaches were dislodged. Don't you feel guilty about uprooting these poor creatures?
Slim,
ReplyDeleteThank you for being argumentative, that is a nice reaction.
But yes I own a home. My home was built 65 years ago. I intentially bought a small home (smaller carbon foot print). My home is chock full of high efficiency, low energy use appliances. (sans dishwasher, a sink does just fine for 3 people), every bulb in the house is CFL's. My programmable thermostat cut my HVAC use significantly. Low flow shower heads, and taps cut water usage dramatically)
My home also, through ten years of hard work, has been relandscaped to provide food, water and shelter for various species of birds and reptiles, mammals and insects.
My home uses rain barrels to capture stormwater run off to water that landscaping.
In my yard and landscaping, there are no chemical fertilizer, weed control, insecticides used. Those chores are accomplished through composting, and elbow grease. (the birds and reptiles attracted to the garden pond and bird feeders/ natural food sources do a damn fine job of eliminating pest insects)
So do I feel bad for purchasing an older, smaller home and making it as energy efficient as possible, and creating a resting area for the species of wildlife that exist in our area, NO not at all.
How about you Slim, do you live in a small, energy efficient home? Or would rather continue to be argumentative regarding environmental issues and try and nit pick me apart because of our political party differences? (just as I had highlighted in my original post on here that is is shameful the amount of politicizing of this issue instead of actually looking at the whole picture)
